Happy Birthday 1

 Hi all

It is with a saddened heart that this is my final post for AAA Birthday.  Due to outside events does not allow me the time to continue my journey with AAA Birthday.  I have enjoyed my time as a designer and working alongside my teamies.

Anyway it is the last challenge of 2023 and the theme is Add a tag and of course be a Birthday card chosen by Tristan

I chose to create a card using the Bokeh method for the back gound.  The mice and ballons are stamps by Card-io sets Breezy day and taking cover. The sentiment is unbranded as is the tag die.

Large Birthday wishes AAA

 Our theme over at AAA Birthday this month is to use a large sentimet obviously Birthday theme.  This theme was chosen by Helen and Kati.

I used a large die, cut in black for the shadow behind the white and layered.  I drew the lines using a ruler and a sharpie pen.  Clean and simple design.

 For this month the challenge theme over at AAA Birthday Challenge is Favorite Colours chosen by Sue

 I have so many favoutite colours so this time I have opted for green.

A simple butterfly by memory box cut from a backgound I had made from a gel plate design and using an embossing folder to give it interest.The three smaller butterflies using a punch. The backgound I used the same embossing folder.  All of the wings lift away from the card to make it 3-dimensional.

 For this month over at AAA Birthday the theme is Anything goes Birthday 

  so a real easy one for all.  I chose to make a card for my grandaughters birthday. I used an image from png. and composed the sentiment in word. Tthe entire dress and been brushed over using Nuvo Aqua shimmer

Happy 90th

 It is time once again for our new challenge over at AAA Birthday and theme is Butterflies and was chosen by me. 

It is one of my neighbours 90th birthday so wanted something really pretty. 

I used a PNG image of a frame and inserted the words in my photoscapex.  I printed it twice as I wanted to punch out 3 butterflies from the same colours.  I diecut a circle through the image for an aperture and then placed it back over matching up the image . 

I punched out three butterflies, stuck their bodies to the card and then used liquid pearls down the centre and a few on the card trailing behind them.

I dry embossed lines around the edge of front panel using my scoreboard

Fluttering Dragonfly AAA

 Yes it is that time of the month for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and the theme chosen by Mugdha & Deekshita's is WATERCOLOURS

 I chose to make the background using a Tim Holtz flower stencil and watered down oxide inks.  I placed the ink on my glass mat, added water the placed the stencil down with the card over top.  

I cut an aperture in the front panel, place the background behind it.  I cut 2 dragonflies and place one on top of other and lifted the wings for dimension. I used a rose die unknown brand, cut twice and layered over the background.  The leaves I had cut off the flower I placed to the side on the panel.

Full of hot air

 Time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and theme has been chosen by Georgia - BALLOONS.

  I used a hot air balloon and seniment from a stamp set by Clear Impressions called one for the boys.

I used cream hammered card stock, cut an aperture from the front panel. stamped image. coloured using polychromos and covered with gold and crystal glamor dust.

 Hi all-time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday and the theme is Layer it up chosen by Swapna

I used the following

Tonic Studio Clef die layered 3 times in white and then one layer of black slightly offset to create a shadow.  I die cut an MFT square and layered onto black card

Buzzy Bees AAA

 Time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday Challenge and this month theme is Stencils.  This challenge is hosted by Jane D.

This month we have guest designer Catherine  so hop on over and give her some love along with the DT that is lol

I chose to use a Tim Holtz stencil with pumice stone distress oxide.  

The bee is by Gummiapan coloured using copics.

I used linen card base and line card front with a circle aperture.  Behind the aperture is a piece of one of my gel plate designs.  I really must get on and use them up - I have loads lol.

The butterfly is by Tim Holtz.  I used the white linen as the base and the additions on top are from the same background.

Hey where has this year gone?  December already and here we are with the final challenge of 2022.

For this month over at AAA Birthday the theme is embossing, any kind of embossing as long as the card is a Birthday Card

Guest Designer for this month is Izzy - why not head on over to her blog and leave some love

For this card I used an unnamed butterfly stamp on vellum and embossed it using gold powder.  For the background I used a cloud digital image from PNGwing.

The aperture was created using a normal square die and front of card adhered to card base using double sided foam tape.  The sentiment stamp I am not aware of the origin.

Monochrome birthday

 Hello everyone - yes it is time for our new challenge over at AAA Birthday and the theme this time is Monochromatic.  I just love working with just the 2 colours.

For my cards I used Ginko die by Charlie and Paulchen, a German company.  I cut it twice on in black and the other in white.  I adhered the white slightly off to the left of the black to create a shadow effect. 

The did the same to the tiny punched butterflies, Punch by Vaesson Creativ.  

The repeated sentiment was composed in word and printed onto the front of the card which was then adhered to the base card using double sided foam tape.

AAA Birthday Cards Favourite Technique

 

Hello all

For this month over at AAA Birthday the theme is A Favourite Technique.  I have to admit this I found quite a challenge as I cannot make up my mind having so many techniques I love lol

So I chose using negative space from a die with a blended background behind using distress oxide ink pads.

AAA Birthday Challenge #41- Moodboard

Hello everyone, it is time for our new challenge

 For this month the challenge over at AAA Burthday Cards is ((plus using the moodboard)

I chose the bottom right corner for the colours I used - it had something to do with that gorgeous cute hedgehog, I just love them so much

Anyway I found the bird dies in my stash and have no idea of their origin.  I bought a large job lot of dies a while back so have many many more dies with no packaging. If anyone recognizes them please feel free to let me know in the comments. 

The sentiment was composed on my laptop and printed.  I then cut it down to size ready for the front panel which it attached to the base vard using double sided foam tape.

I cut them out either side of the sentiment.  Behind the negative space I had blended some Distress Oxides - milled lavender, wilted violet and speckled egg.  

when backing attached to front of card I adhered the just the body of the birds back into the negative space. I lifted the wings.

 I then attached teeny tiny diamante to the bird.
